Holistic Assistance to Children at Risk

Dozens and hundreds of children in the region suffer from distress, diseases, disabilities, abuse, and other problems. Through extensive treatment, the community saves their lives

The rising unemployment rate, the ongoing financial crisis, the lack of social assistance, the military tension, and a variety of chronic problems the residents suffer from, which make life in Ukraine difficult, results in thousands of children that find themselves in horrifying distress, among which many Jewish children.

The Jewish community, together with a specialized Jewish organization, provides these children with extensive treatment, and a holistic response to all their daily challenges and struggles. The treatment focuses on all medical, mental, financial, educational, and social aspects the child and their family are facing.

The life stories of many of these children are shivering. They suffer from an extremely wide variety of struggles and distress: abuse, neglect, diseases, disabilities, mental disorders, disgraceful property, and the list goes on. Lack of proper treatment that can get them back on their feet and ensure their future, could result in turning to crime, drugs, and alcohol and even end their lives.
